The development of PSTN, ISDN and GSM/GPRS Socket Modems and other embedded modem applications is one of the most important activities of Bausch Datacom. The PSTN Socket Modules and I-modules that we design and produce are communication-ready devices that integrate data/fax functionality into a very space-efficient, embedded modem design. One can integrate Bausch Socket Modems and I-modules in all kind of devices that need to communicate such as copiers, embedded control systems, set-top boxes, communications for instrumentation equipment, Internet TV, etc… Of course we also embed our modules into our own Proxima desktop modems.

In the Proxima V.34 SIA modem we integrated the Delta-IM34S I-module which is a V.34 I-module with special SIA software supporting also SIA listen-in applications.

Proxima V.34 SIA PSTN modems with RS-232 interface are perfect for remote or industrial sites with inconsistent environmental conditions and allow any product to communicate.  The modem has an input voltage range from 9 to 40 V AC-DC, regulated.
