Technical Overview
The easiest and safest way to implement a GSM modem pool in your network !
Bausch Datacom has developped a 19" GSM modem rack system based on the Proxima and Indubox modem technology. High performance and reliability are the key features of this modem technology.
The development of GSM/GPRS Indubox Modems for the electricity market is our core business. The Indubox GSM/GPRS IV for example is a communication-ready device that integrates a Wavecom Q24PL GSM/GPRS processor in a modem with sealable housing, RS-232 and RS-485 galvanically isolated interfaces, programmable watchdog, wide range power supply (90-264 VAC), embedded OpenAT application and approved according to extended electromagnetical immunity requirements.
Our GSM/GPRS modems range from DIN rail modems, external Indubox desktop modems to rack modems which have to fit in a 19" Eurorack: our DinBox GSM/GPRS modems on Din Rail, our external Indubox GSM IV and our Proxima GSM Rack modems are all based on the same embedded Wavecom Q24PL Quadband (800/900/1800/1900 MHZ) module with ARM7 processor, supporting GSM data and GPRS Class 10 and integrating an Open AT firmware version 6.57d. The Proxima GSM rack modems as well as the Proxima PSTN V.92 rack modems are very stable and highly appreciated modems for various industrial applications.
The Proxima GSM Rack Modems are integrated in a 19 inch RACK for maximal 10 x Proxima GSM Rack Modem Cards including power-supply card & Modem Management System (see also Proxima 19" rack).
