During the session of 14.30h and on its booth Bausch Datacom explains about 'telemetry on demand', : cost effective , all-in-one automatic communication solutions with embedded customer application software for telemonitoring, logging, telemeasurement, remote alarming, for example to monitor infrastructure including CEVs, pipe lines (Fluxys), water purification (Kebro), hydrometrics (Koenders), power nodes, sub station management (Infrax, Smart Grid), repeater stations, etc.-

   ° Embedded GSM/GPRS module

Infrax - electricity distribution company - Smart Grid

 

Infrax, a Belgian electricity distribution company, recently started a Smart Grid study to analyze the influence of decentralized production of solar energy on a centralized electricity grid. The study takes places in Lommel in the province of Belgian Limburg were lots of photovoltaic solar panels are already installed and many others will be installed in the near future. Infrax uses Bausch DinBox RTU with deadband application firmware to have the necessary input information for online load flow calculation of the distribution networks. Kebro - water purification and sewerage - system control
 

Kebro is a Belgian contracting company specialized in the supply and maintenance of solutions for domestic waste water purification and sewage treatment such as 'Oxyfix' and 'Kokosbiobed' (up to 100 IE).

Kebro decided to replace the electromechanical components and SMS box of the control cabinets by the DinBox RTU to perform the local and remote control activities but also send automatic (alarm) messages by SMS. The embedded software was written on specification of the customer.

             

      

Koenders Instruments - hydrometrics - data logging & communication with FTP server

               

Koenders Instruments BV is a Dutch company supplying total solutions in the field of hydrometrics, meteorology and geotechniques. The company measures quantity and quality of surface, waste, ground and sea water (levels, velocities, directions, rainfall, temperature, flow lengths and slopes, PH values etc...). The DinBox RTU is used as a data logger : its 16 bit analog inputs 'read' the data and periodically the GPRS module of the RTU automatically sends the stored data to an FTP server over IP. Enovates - charging of electric powered cars - system control

                 

Electric powered cars are the future!  Enovates is a Belgian start-up company making 'green cars' and 'ecological transport' as its core mission. The company is the first Belgian company to release a recharging pole for electric cars. Charging electric powered car is a complex but highly interesting business with a huge market potential. The company is working on a total solution based on a management system -controlled by DinBox RTU - with focus on customer identification, correct invoicing.
